FAAST is an advanced fire detection system for use where early warning and very early warning are a requirement. The system continuously draws air from the controlled environment through a series of sampling holes to monitor the environment for smoke particulate.
When installing the FAAST aspirating smoke detector, the complete aspiration pipe networks with CPVC pipe, fittings and related accessories are required to complete pipe networks designed in the FAAST PipeIQ� software.
The FAAST detector and its pipe network allow deployment of smoke detection in challenging and mission critical environments. In order to ensure the system will operate in accordance to site specific requirements, as well as local codes and regulations, the pipe network must be designed and verified using the PipeIQ� software.
